To anyone stopping by because I sent them a resume, welcome! It’s weird here, and a lot of things have happened to me and us since I last posted here.
Let me quickly summarize:
- 3/16/23: I was fired due to extenuating circumstances related to my mental health
- 05/01/23: I left the PhD program due to a continuing decline in my mental health
- 5/15/23: Our car engine blew, and it was towed to the service station
- 7/07/23: Northern Vermont Lamoille and Winooski valleys flooded; Our car was totaled by floodwater at the service station on the banks of the Lamoille River
- 7/31/23: VT finally approved my unemployment insurance payments
- 08/01/23: Our car was repossessed for non-payment
- 08/15/23: The bicycle I was using to get groceries finally broke down
- 09/21/23: FEMA informed me they will not be able to assist with vehicle replacemement
- 10/04/23: Personal epiphany and last day of being overwhelmed by my mental health struggles. I am finally free.
- 10/05/23: First day as design consultant
- 10/07/23: First day of new life project: a collective & sanctuary for musicians, artists, and soulful kin
- 10/08/23: I earn my first $0.21 as a singer-songwriter
It has been a tremendously and difficult summer, but one that I will always see as leaving me with powerful and positive lessons.
And if you’re still reading this, maybe you feel like giving my (off)brand of design thinking and philosophy a shot?
