Making Music from Presence

Three weeks ago at winter solstice, something cracked open in me that hasn’t closed back up. At the time, I recorded/performed eight tracks in four days — minimal techno, ambient downtempo, arpeggiated grooves that just wanted to run. All of it performed live in Logic Pro, no backing out of the flow, just riding whatever […]

Flow State [LIVE] – New Electronic Music Series

After a year of creative silence following the release of “Where’ve You Been?”, something shifted during winter solstice 2025 and the gates opened up. Over four days this past week, eight tracks emerged—minimal techno, ambient downtempo, driving arpeggiated grooves. All created and performed live in Logic Pro, no edits after performance, just flow state and filter work and a simple final mix for listenability.

Flow State Series [Live]

I’ve recently started recording electronic music experiments and here is my first collection. I created these using Logic Pro and an Arturia MIDI controller. Everything is created live and then mixed for listenability. These eight tracks came together over four days during winter solstice 2025, after nearly a year of creative silence. Each one explores […]

New project underway!

My next album project is rooted in my experience growing up in Vermont. There’s so much to talk about, that it’s too early to share very many details beyond this right now. I like being open about process, ideas, and progress, so I’d like to share a little bit of what I’ve been doing musically over the past few weeks while also gadding about in other ways (mental and not!).

First of April end of day check in. How are you all?

I’ve been ruminating all day, and I think I’m just going to relegate today to a general checking in. How are all of you? It’s Tuesday, April 1st at about 7 p.m. It’s been over two years since I could handle even a small set of responsibilities. It feels good to be able to stand — albeit a little wobbily — after the stumbling.

What a Wild Few Weeks It’s Been

Hey everyone. Thanks for checking in! It’s been a wild couple of weeks here. My mental state is up and down, but I expect it now and it’s easier to manage, though still as exhausting. I’ve written a couple of new pieces, mostly just some improvs and idea sketches, but I do have a piano […]

Checking in From the Cold

Creative momentum has been slow lately, but I’m settling into a new rhythm—building out my studio space, exploring a granite-surf guitar sound, and prepping some ‘Where’ve You Been?’ tracks for live solo performance. The local music scene is thriving, and I’m excited to step into it. My album has organically reached over 4,200 streams, and I recently had a great interview on the Jaden Cornelious show (airing in March). Also, big news—’Where’ve You Been?’ is coming to CD (and maybe vinyl)! If you want to support, check out Bandcamp, grab some merch, or just spread the love for indie music. ??

Downtime and Finding Sonic Spaces

Now that my album is out and I’ve had some time to find objectivity on the past year, I’ve slowed down, recharged, and just started to play. It’s been a much-needed pause to reflect on my journey so far while — almost inadvertently but with real joy — letting ideas for what’s next begin to […]

One Month In and One Year Later: A Journey Worth Celebrating

It was just about a year ago when I wrote a reflection on 2023, so I figured I’d do it again this year. It’s hard to put into words how it feels to look back on this past year. At this time last year, I was sitting in my living room, recording It Can Be […]

Embracing Imperfection: The Art of Being and Becoming

For most of my life, I stressed about proving myself and achieving perfection, but everything changed four years ago when I discovered the beauty of dilettantism—engaging in things out of love and curiosity rather than obligation. Experiences like Ayahuasca and mindfulness taught me to embrace imperfection and just be present. Now, I create without the pressure to excel and believe exploration is more valuable than mastery. It’s about joy and freedom, not achievement.
