Just short of getting it tattooed on me …

This Week I…
March 24–30, 2025
One of the challenges of living with the kind of mental state I work with is remembering a complete flow of life. Waking up tomorrow holding on to what I’ve accomplished or learned from today is a conscious effort for me, just shy of tattooing (which I’ve seriously considered doing, Memento). I think it has something to do with the hypnosis as a child, or maybe just side effects from the PTSD, but either way, I’ve decided to devote some time on Sundays to check in with what I did and tried to do the previous week.
So here’s my first shot at it:
Music & Creative Flow
- Opened up live Spotify activity on my website — you can now see what I’m listening to in real time
- Built out the Shop page on the site, integrating WooCommerce into my theme
- Turned console logs on my /play/ page into a visual stream of activity
- Started shaping a gritty Vermont-rooted take on some key sounds for my next project
- Sketched the story arc for the new album, weaving personal narrative into sound
- Set up my website’s Discography to auto-update when new albums go live
Systems & Strategy
- Improved my EVE Online script to track real-time market demand (explorer life)
- Managed my small investment portfolio with a few intentional trades (I’m up 0.02%!)
- Learned more about grounding investing in values and momentum — trying to balance ethics with edge
- Helped Danielle with some Notion configuration and setup
Co-op & Community Work
- Got back on track post-COVID with renewed focus at the co-op
- Started treating Instagram and Facebook as distinct spaces in planning
- Set up a radio spot on WGDR/WGDH
- Refined my Notion workflows to better support both co-op work and creative direction
- Met with daughter’s school team members
And—I was featured on the Jaden Show on YouTube today! It was a wide-ranging, soulful convo about art, healing, sound, and how we show up in the world. More on that soon.
I didn’t write a note of music, shovel any snow, or make any money that matters. I didn’t read the news, really, or pay much attention to the world of people. I listened to music and worked on my site. I didn’t even make food that often. I focused on doing what I felt capable of in these moments we are given, and I’ve become comfortable with doing nothing more than that. It’s all anyone can ask of anyone else: do what you can with what you have.
